Tanzania PB APK Estate
Notes: Milk Chocolate, Lemon, Caramel
Roast Level: Light Roast
Sourced from the high-altitude estates of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mbeya, Tanzania, this Tanzanian Peaberry coffee is cultivated in nutrient-rich volcanic soil, ensuring exceptional quality. Unlike regular coffee beans, which grow as two halves inside a cherry, peaberries are a rare natural mutation where only one small, round bean develops, leading to a more concentrated flavor and even roasting. Highly sought after by specialty coffee lovers, this single-origin Tanzanian coffee is known for its smooth, well-balanced character and clean, wine-like finish.

ABOUT THE FARM
Located in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Africa Plantation Kilimanjaro (APK) is made up of four individual farms; Two
Bridges, Lyamungo, Mlama, and Kahawa. The estate is owned by Alejandro Galante, a coffee farmer from Antioquia, Colombia,
with each farm managed individually. 95% of APK’s production is washed, though recent experimentation has led to more honey
and natural processing occurring. Drying is done on raised beds, where APK employees carefully monitor the moisture level of
each lot to ensure even drying.

ROASTING INFORMATION
Our light-roasted coffee beans offer a brighter, more delicate flavor that preserves the coffee's natural origin, highlighting its unique "terroir." These roasts showcase fruity, juicy, and floral notes, with a smooth acidity and a light, tea-like body. Light roasting is ideal for brewing filter coffee, whether hot or cold.
